The Blood Donor Event 2013 of HKBP Depok I

Happy Sunday, Guys!! I'm thankful to see You again!! :)

Today is an historical day of HKBP Depok I because we've just made the first blood donor event of HKBP Depok I!! Actually, the event was held as a pre event of Easter celebration 2013 of Naposo HKBP Depok I. The Easter celebration will be held on Sunday, 5 May 2013.

There were many people who were enthusiasm to join the blood donor event. There were about a hundred people whom were been listed as the potential donors. At the end, today there were fifty people who registered theirself to be a donor, but unfortunately there were only forty three people whom were permitted to be a donor. Then the seven others just got a blood check up because their health condition was not possible to donate blood.

However, we as the blood donor event organizer is grateful for this moment. We've just made something valuable!! May the bloods of the donors will be beneficial for other people who need those.

The Easter 2013 of RHKBP Depok I at Getsemani Foundation

Dear Guys,

Happy Sunday and nice to greet You again! Thank God for Your blessings to me, my beloved people, and this blog readers! :)

Yesterday I celebrated Easter 2013 of Remaja HKBP (RHKBP) Depok I on Saturday, 6 April 2013 at Getsemani foundation, Bekasi. Getsemani foundation is a foundation which has special service for stress, drug & narcotic addiction, detoxification, and elderly treatment.

I and several my friends as youth joined with our teenager friends to the Easter. Actually we were doing a spiritual sevice visitation, but we made it exclusively in Easter moment.

We went from our church to Getsemani foundation at 12.45. Then we arrived at the foundation at about 15.00. When we arrived, some superintendents of the foundation welcomed us gladly. They were hospitable. Then they showed us a devotions room to pray and worship.

We stepped several rungs, found a corridor, and walked together to the devotions room. We met our friends, the patients (I prefer to call them as "fighters" because they are struggling to get a better life), then we greeted them and shaked their hands. They smiled to us happily. They were very glad to meet us. We could see that there was a cheerfulness in their eyes.

Then we prepared ourself to have a devotions, to pray and worship our God, Jesus Christ. We sang some spiritual songs, read Bible, heeded preachment from our pastor, and shared some experiences each other. We really enjoyed those things. We could know each other, especially between the visitors and the fighters.

There are many fighters who want to be healed and to get a better life. Some of them are drug & narcotic addicts and the others are stress patients. The most dominant patient is stress patients (fighters).

The stress fighters have their own problem. There are fighters who have economy problem, social relationship problem, business problem, and other various problems. Basicly, they are normal, but they are broken mentally. They are not ready yet to face and fix their own problem. They just need time to accept their life reality well.

Some fighters shared their own problem to me. There is a fighter who was a rich entrepreneur of rubber latex and cement. His business was a family business. His company had existed for thirty (3) years approximately. When his business was insolvent, he got his dropped mentality. He became an emotional father. He became often scolded his wife, children, and family members brutally. He was uncontrolled badly. So, his family decided to bring him to Getsemani foundation for a while until he can accept his life reality and get normal emotion.

Then I was surprised that the fighter who was a rich entrepreneur told me that he has been permitted by doctor to come back home actually, but unfortunately his family still needs time to accept his presence at home. He has been for three (3) months at the foundation when I met him and he told me that hopefully he will come back home in December 2013. I wish he may get his hope comes true.

There are other unique stories of the fighters, but in this occasion I just want to share some essences of their feeling and experience to us. We may get a reflection of our life reality. Everybody may get theirself dropped mentally, even get crazy because of our problem. Everybody always wants to be happy, but we can just through our life, pray, face our problems, and get joyful for everything we have.

It feels easy to say "joyful", but the point is not about our ability, strength, and goodness, but it's all about surrendering to God. We may fall, we may slumped, but we have to SURVIVE & REVIVE because we are God's great creatures! We have intelligence, we have strength, we have bravery, we have faith, and the most important is we have JESUS CHRIST, A GOD WHO IS BIGGER THAN OUR PROBLEM!

So let's be grateful for God's grace in our life! Be thankful for our destiny! Be joyful for our life! God is good all the time, Guys! :)

The Jakarta Flood

Hi, Guys!

How's life? I wish You are good.

By the way, long time to not write an article. In this occasion, I want to share some photos that I made on Friday, 18 January 2013. Those are about flood in Jakarta.

Yeah, the flood had become a well-known thing for Jakarta, because almost every five (5) years Jakarta was attacked by flood. It was a miserable thing for sure.

So hereby I attach the photos of the miserable thing. Actually, there were some locations in Jakarta which were "visited" by the flood, but the following photos were taken in Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta.

As the photos above, we may know and feel the effects of flood. Because of it, there were many people couldn't do their job, traffic jam, paralyzed human activities, disease, and even death.

It was happened not only for once or twice, but several times in almost every five (5) years. Some people call it as "Banjir Tahunan". It was really miserable. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia which should be safe from "Banjir Tahunan".

We can prevent it by wasting rubbish to the trash can or where the rubbish should be wasted. We can also save our environment by keeping sewer clean and swift. In other hand, the government may rejuvenate and build infrastructures & facilities for flood prevention.

So let's start to prevent flood by keeping ourself clean. Then, let's ENJOY JAKARTA!

Selamat Tinggal 2012 - Selamat Datang 2013

Hai, Saudara-saudariku terkasih! :)

Pada malam ini, sebelum tahun 2012 berganti menjadi tahun 2013 dalam beberapa menit ke depan, saya mau menutup tahun 2012 dengan artikel ini. Yaa...Mumpung masih ada waktu untuk berkomputer ria,hehee...

Melalui artikel ini, saya ingin berbagi kisah perjalanan hidup saya sepanjang tahun 2012 secara umum. Berikut ini kisah saya:

1. Januari = Bulan Januari adalah bulan kelahiran saya. Pada bulan tersebut saya memperoleh kejutan ulang tahun dari kekasih dan teman2 saya (2012). Saya pun mendapatkan banyak ucapan selamat berulangtahun dari orang-orang di sekitar saya. Selain itu, hal yang sangat berkesan dan tak kalah pentingnya adalah saya dapat berkumpul bersama kedua orang tua dan kedua adik saya untuk berdoa dan mengucap syukur untuk penyertaan Tuhan di dalam kehidupan saya hingga Januari 2012 dan seterusnya.

2. Februari = Pada bulan Februari yang identik dengan hari Valentine (hari kasih sayang), saya saling berbagi tanda kasih sayang dengan kekasih saya (2012). Walau bagaimanapun, bagi saya, setiap hari adalah hari kasih sayang.

3. Maret = Walau saya tidak berjodoh dengan salah satu perusahaan telekomunikasi terkemuka di Indonesia, saya terus menjalani berbagai aktivitas saya dengan segala macam serba-serbinya.

4. April = Saya mendapatkan proyek untuk menyelenggarakan suatu workshop pada bulan Mei 2013. Bulan April merupakan bulan kelahiran mama saya.

5. Mei = Saya mempersiapkan suatu workshop, namun akhirnya workshop tersebut tidak jadi diselenggarakan karena beberapa hal yang bersifat kompleks. Tetap bersukacita!

6. Juni = Saya mendapatkan pekerjaan di PT Dyandra Promosindo, suatu Professional Exhibition Organizer (PEO) yang merupakan PEO terkemuka di Indonesia. Saya ingin berkembang dan maju di perusahaan tersebut, namun biar Tuhan yang membimbing perjalanan karir saya,hehee...Bulan Juni merupakan bulan kelahiran kekasih saya (2012).

7. Juli = Saya dalam tahap adaptasi di kantor baru saya (PEO). Saya senang memiliki banyak teman baru di kantor baru saya.

8. Agustus = Agustus merupakan bulan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia, negaraku tercinta.

9. September = Saya bersama tim kerja saya, divisi Trade Fairs menyelenggarakan pameran Desain.ID 2012 pada tanggal 5-8 September 2012 di Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Bulan September merupakan bulan kelahiran papa saya.

10. Oktober = Bulan Oktober merupakan bulan penuh persiapan untuk event Asian Skills Competition 2012.

11. Nopember = PT Dyandra Promosindo, perusahaan tempat saya bekerja menyelenggarakan Asean Skills Competition 2012 pada tanggal 14-19 Nopember 2012. Zona, adikku lahir pada bulan Nopember.

12. Desember = NATAL 2012. ULANG TAHUN VANESSA, ADIKKU. SUKACITA BERSAMA KELUARGA, PARA SAHABAT, DAN TEMAN-TEMAN. MEMBUAT RESOLUSI UNTUK TAHUN 2013. MEMBUAT ARTIKEL INI.


Demikianlah kisah perjalanan hidup saya sepanjang tahun 2012 secara umum. Tahun 2012 akan berganti menjadi tahun 2013 dan demikian pula pada tahun-tahun selanjutnya, maka marilah kita senantiasa menyikapi setiap detik dan momen kehidupan kita dengan doa, semangat, dan sukacita! Bersyukur itu tidak selalu terasa mudah untuk dilakukan, namun kita bisa memilih untuk bersikap, apakah bersyukur atau mengeluh atau apa? Pastinya, kalau kita percayakan hidup kita sepenuhnya kepada Tuhan Sang Maha Kuasa, maka pasti kita dapat merasa tenang dan menyadari betapa hebatnya rencana Tuhan di dalam hidup kita.

Selamat Natal 2012 dan selamat tahun baru 2013, Saudara-saudariku! Maju terus untuk menjadi saluran berkat bagi sesama! Tuhan Yesus memberkati kita semua. Amen. :)

Being Grateful for My Career

Hi, Guys. How is Your life? I hope You are very well.

I had not shared an article for last several months. Actually I want to share something on my blog at least for twice in a month, but fortunately now I'm having a chance to share.

In this occasion, I'm going to share my joy of doing my job. The job is very important for me because it is appropriate with my passion.

Now, I'm in the fifth (5th) month of working at my new office. The company where I'm working at is a professional exhibition organizer (PEO). It's a leading PEO of Indonesia. It has a group company and many sister companies. I'm very grateful to be working there.

I'm always grateful and thank to God for my job, but it's not just because the company capacity, but moreover it is because the direction of God to place me there. I ever wanted to work there when I was a college student, but I never thought to get an opportunity to work there after I graduated from my college.

Fortunately, in short words, God gave me a way to be there by my old friend. She was my classmate when we were on elementary school. She told me that the company was looking for an employee who has basic education of Meeting, Incentive, Convention, & Management (MICE). Then I applied my application letter, I passed all tests on step by step, and finally I work there until now.

I enjoy my job, I'm comfortable with my work environment, and I have new friends, they are kind and funny. Those are blessings of God to me. I know that there are many defiances in the world of work which may strike me down, but I believe that God always guides my life. He always shows the right way to me. I surrender to Jesus Christ, The God and Saviour of my life.

I think I will through many moments in my career. It will be a great long story in my life. So, we should always enjoy our life, Guys. Having a job is not about gaining much money and wealth, but it's about being a blessing duct for others and glorifying our God. Give Your best to Your company and others, then let God do the rest for You.
